Home Safety & Accessibility Evaluation
A therapist evaluates how safely and independently you or your loved one can move through the home and complete everyday activities. The assessment may include entrances, stairs, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, mobility, transfers and daily routines.
Following the evaluation, we provide personalized recommendations with a printed report that may include adaptive equipment, grab bars or railings, improved lighting, furniture arrangement, fall-prevention strategies and prioritized home modifications. Our goal is to create practical solutions that fit the person, the home and the family’s needs.
This service can be completed in Independent or Assisted living Facilities as well!
Our Home Safety Assessment is designed to help you or your loved ones live safely and independently in the comfort of your own home. During a comprehensive visit, our experienced therapist will carefully evaluate your living space, identifying potential hazards and areas for improvement. After the assessment, you’ll receive a detailed report powered by Home for Life Design™, outlining personalized recommendations to enhance safety and accessibility.
We understand that making changes to your home can be a big step, so we include a follow-up visit to review the progress and ensure everything is on track. If further adjustments are needed, additional follow-ups are available. For any structural modifications, we can connect you with trusted partner contractors who specialize in home safety improvements. Our goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing that your home is a safe and supportive environment for you or your loved ones.
